Board Position Feature: Membership

Being the Membership Director is all about connecting young professionals in the Williamsburg area and introducing them to what YEP is all about. I have the responsibility of reaching out personally to new and prospective members and maintaining the membership databases. It’s fun to collaborate with the rest of the Executive Committee on ways to attract and retain members as our organization continues to grow and gain recognition in the community. Membership Coordinator is a fun and rewarding position on the Executive Committee for an organized person who enjoys meeting new people and collaborating within a team.

Board Position Feature: Fundraising

The Best Part of the Position is having the opportunity to take on a role that provides a common framework that inspires individuals, and businesses, to partner with YEP with the common goal in mind to build a strong community asset within Williamsburg, Virginia. I’m not going to use the “current economic condition” as an excuse given my position of Fundraising Director—however, I get it. Board Position Feature: Secretary

My position is great in that it keeps me in the loop on everything YEP- I am able to collaborate with all the members of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. I also really enjoy being the one responding to emails via the YEP email account. I have the opportunity to respond to potential new members and connect with other members and organizations of the Williamsburg community. I really enjoy my position and do not see many challenges. Sometimes, it takes a while to draft an email and YEP’s email account can get inundated from time to time, but I really can’t complain!
